If approval is required, we can coordinate the relevant drawings, engineering and documentation associated with our scope of work. Assessment requirements and timeframes are ultimately determined by the relevant authority.

Once your quote is accepted, we move into the detailed planning and preparation stage.

Depending on the project, this may include drafting, engineering, council approval, colour and material selections, a final site measure, custom fabrication and construction scheduling. We’ll guide you through each stage and let you know what is needed along the way.

Because every Bespoke Outdoor project is individually designed, there is no standard timeframe.

Timing can be influenced by the complexity of the design, engineering, approvals, selections, custom fabrication, supplier lead times and weather. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and provide a clearer construction schedule once the necessary preparation is complete.

A fixed roof provides permanent cover, while an opening roof gives you greater control over the conditions underneath it.

The louvres can be opened for natural light and airflow, adjusted for shade or closed when you want greater protection from the weather. The right option will depend on your home, its orientation, your budget and how you plan to use the space.

It’s best to discuss these features early so they can be properly incorporated into the layout, structure and relevant services.

I’d leave out the very detailed questions about check measures, powder coating, practical completion, variations and preparing for construction. They’re useful information, but better suited to a client welcome guide, project handbook or T&Cs once someone has signed on.
